A series of short poems I wrote a long time ago when helping my son with some descriptions for some of his art:
Wisdom
The owl, in its flight, waves
the pages of Wisdom, bearing
proudly this volume of
virtue with which to meet
the challenges of life.
Freedom
Liberty borrows the
wings of its friends to
bear it unfettered
toward the jungles of
peaceful stampedes.
Life
Vitality coursing through
fruitful veins breaks forth
into pools of surprise—
blooming in full.
Beauty
Possessing a grace that draws
all gazes, revealing itself in
delicate phases.
