Sort yourself out,
Leaving no unhinged pieces.
Your perspective on life
May require some new leases.
It's easy to get
"Out of sorts," as they say;
But to "sort oneself out"—
That takes more than a day
What's required in such sorting?
A sober, clear mind;
Being willing to hope
There are answers to find.
Don't let Shame be your guide,
Lest the truth be contorted—
And never will issues
Be properly sorted.
Be kind to yourself
As you gather your footing,
For the truth of your worth
Should not be off-putting.
God says you are loved
With a love everlasting,
So if you feel "less than,"
It's time for re-casting.
Let the fire of His love
Burn away every doubt,
Taking fears that have bound you
And casting them out—
So that you see His child
That He made perfectly
And stand tall as always
You were meant to be.
Seek the truth, sort it out,
Stack it up til you see
There's a whole lot of truth,
And it's setting you free!
You may need others' help—
Let their strength help you rise,
And let your true face
Be seen through God's eyes.
There may be great darkness,
Depression, and woe—
But for healing to come,
Let destructive thoughts go.
It may not be easy
Or even seem right,
But take each small step;
Things won't change overnight.
Be patient, determined,
And ready, in short,
For your true self to be
What's revealed in the sort.
