We have a tradition, albeit a silly one--on the way back from a camping trip, we stop at Taco Time. I usually get a Natural Super Taco, at least one of my kids has to have Mexi Fries, and the majority order Crisp Meat Burritos. It's just a fun little ritual we look forward to.
Traditions, even seemingly silly ones, are important for several reasons:
- They give family members common ground and therefore facilitate bonding.
- They create memories.
- They are fun.
What are your traditions? I'd love to hear about your non-holiday related ones. Perhaps someone else's tradition can be your inspiration for a new tradition of your own.
