Nine months go slowly
But after that phase passes,
Time never slows down
This baby needs you
Every waking moment
And you pour out love
Baby turns to tot
Tot turns to preschooler and
Soon, a first-grader
Years pass, backpacks break
Middle school's no piece of cake
But she conquers it
Could go back to day one and
Make lots of changes
Life has a sneaky
Way of fooling us all to
Think we have more time
Nine months seems distant
As she packs her own lunch and
Heads off to high school
Graduation day
Tear-filled, it represents the
End of an era
The wedding stupor
Hits you like a load of bricks
Wasn't she just born?
Where did the time go?
Now she's grown with her own kids
Nine months fades again
