Got Your Number (867-5309)

Jenny was a party planner

Who didn't pay to advertise.

She left little blurbs in bathroom stalls

To be seen by many eyes.

Some would call with the wrong intentions,

But she'd kindly set 'em straight.

So adept at intervention,

She could sell right out the gate—

And before they knew what hit 'em,

They had put a deposit down

And Jenny had booked a date

For the biggest party in town.

She was skilled at sly convincing—

Made them see it in their mind;

And they never spared expense

For a dance floor, band, or wine.

Yes, she had unorthodox methods,

But her name spread fast, like dust—

And her business boomed overnight,

Planning parties for the upper crust.

And when people asked her secret,

Jenny'd point to a nearby wall

And say "867-5309" and add,

"For a good time, call."
