Organic

 

“Buy organic,” so the mantra guides—

Foods without chemicals or pesticides;

Nothing artificial, only natural sources.

You can learn all about it through online courses.

Organic farming is the agricultural wave

To keep us from agents that lead to the grave.

But not all certifiers are created the same,

So, what’s called “organic” may be just in name.

It helps to know standards of the NOP

To ensure that your food’s what you want it to be.

“Certified organic” sounds like a good groove,

But farmers use chemicals the government’s approved.

So, do you know what you’re buying is safe to eat?

If not, grow your own—garden fresh is hard to beat.
