People place wishes on horses;
They're called "bets," and sometimes they come true.
A wish is a chance swiftly taken
To improve situations in life.
Dating might be a wish
To find a good husband or wife.
But be careful what you wish for—
Consider it slowly, not faster,
For sometimes the hastiest wishes
Can end in pure disaster.
