Penguin Play

Penguins start out life with a lot of downy fluff.
To catch a nestling playing is not a job that's tough.
They love to swim and hop and bounce over the rocks;
And of course, a penguin always waddles when it walks.
They like to slide down ice hills, like toboggans, on their tummies.
They're flexible and frolic as if they're lifelike gummies.
Penguins sing to each other and know each other's sounds.
Penguins like new playmates and making social rounds.
Older chicks are confident and boisterous with their flippers,
And they love to swim around—they're quite the skinny-dippers.
A penguin cannot fly, but it makes up for this loss
Playing penguin-style hockey on the ice floes, like a boss.
