Plan

"Hope for the best

But plan for the worst,"

I hear so many say.

But what about a plan

For if things go the right way?

Perhaps we plan for the best—

And if it's not fulfilled—

We evaluate our options

And count our blessings still.

If we want to plan for trials,

We must have a faith that's strong—

And not allow our joy to be crushed

When bad times come along.

It doesn't mean we won't feel it

Or be incredibly sad,

But God is good in the good times;

And He's good when things are bad.

So, let us plan for great things

And keep our faith intact.

Then, when things go awry,

We'll be prepared to act.

For faith is truly substance

And evidence of the unseen.

Faith plans for greater measure

And trusts God in between.
